Seller currency and account currency
A seller may list a price in one currency while your account displays another. Record the original amount and the currency conversion basis used by the payment service.
When comparing currencies, note the exchange-rate basis and the date the amount was shown.
Payment method and top-up costs
Top-up and payment-method fees can affect what you spend before ordering. Compare the displayed fees for your chosen method alongside the exchange-rate basis; this guide does not provide live rates.
Check whether the displayed account amount includes a conversion or payment-method charge.
Item-stage charges
Item-stage costs may include domestic seller delivery or service additions when displayed. Keep them with the item purchase rather than folding them into an assumed total.
A seller’s domestic delivery charge may appear separately from the listed item price.
Shipping-stage charges
International delivery is a later parcel-stage amount based on selected goods and the route; it is separate from the seller’s displayed item price.
The parcel record shows the shipping stage after goods have been selected and packed.
Exchange-rate basis and date
Compare the same goods, payment stage, currency basis and date. A change between screenshots may reflect an exchange-rate movement rather than a service difference.
A refund to balance and a withdrawal to a payment method should be compared as separate transactions.
Refunds, balance and withdrawal
A refund into balance is not automatically a withdrawal to your card or account. Follow the payment record and current terms for that particular movement.
